''Cité Nature''
Cité Nature was recently set up in the Art Deco building of a former miner’s lamp factory, which was converted by the famous architect, Jean Nouvel. It is a cultural and scientific centre dedicated to questions that are asked about food, agriculture, nature and health.
There are 2500 m2 of permanent exhibitions on the environment, food, techniques and history; 1500 m2 of temporary exhibitions; a “discovery” area for children; special events rooms; 15,000m2 of “all types” of gardens; a hall for meeting people and enjoying a festive spirit, where you can enjoy tasting sessions, discussions with artists, listening to music and watching shows. Cité Nature was designed so that anyone of any age may enjoy learning while taking the time to enjoy life.
